Comeback Yoga, founded in 2014, is a 501(c)3 non-profit that delivers free yoga classes to help military personnel, their families and supporters develop resiliency in response to their life experience that may include post-traumatic stress.
Application of principle of alignment into gentle muscle toning and stretching, joints softening, along with restorative postures, breath work, guided meditation helping with pain management and deep release. Excellent for participants with injury, di-cease, chronic pain , anxiety, depression, or seeking a gentle yet fulfilling class.-incorporating Ayurveda principles to heal the emotional body. *Use of props, chairs, bolsters, blankets, soft balls , foam rollers etc…

Learn everything you need to know about basic Hatha Yoga. You’ll do poses that are seated and standing, up and down. Breath awareness and mindful attention will sharpen your focus and keep you grounded in safe alignment. You’ll immediately feel a boost in your confidence, strength and flexibility and by practicing balance, you’ll be able to put your shoes on gracefully. You have all that you need for this class: a body and a mind, even if you feel stiff and out of shape. Michelle offers variations and modifications so that everyone practices within their capacity. Plus Michelle’s mini-Meditation and Peaceful Yogic Sleep, will fully round out the depth of your yoga experience.

Restorative yoga is a practice that leads the yogi toward a more healing and recuperative experience, ushers in a host of wonderful benefits that are often overshadowed by the popularity and visibility of more dynamic yoga styles.
A restorative practice frequently relies on the use of props and the prolonged holding of a few simple poses to achieve a deep level of relaxation. “Restorative yoga” can also be an umbrella term that encompasses several sub-styles of relaxation and healing-based Hatha yoga practices. Additional Yoga Nidra practice leads the body and mind to a deeper and blissful relaxation.

Weather permitting, this event will be held outside on the deck. If the weather is poor, we will move the class inside of the Club. It’s on— rain or moon shine.
